ロシア軍によるウクライナ原子力発電所爆撃に抗議する

新医協は3月3日付けで、ロシア軍によるウクライナ侵攻に対し、抗議の声明を発した。その声明では、所有する核兵器による脅迫的行為に対しても抗議した。
しかし国連での圧倒的多数による抗議表明にもかかわらず、軍事行動の停止を拒否するばかりか、ウクライナの稼働中の原子力発電所に対し爆撃と占拠、そして施設電源の遮断までおこなった。これは以前から危惧されていた、戦時における原子力発電所の危険性を露わにした。爆撃や砲撃、炉心維持電源の喪失は、チェルノブイリや東京電力福島第一原子力発電所での惨状を再現するものと紙一重のものである。核戦争を誘発させる様な軍事行動については、厳重に抗議するとともに、改めてロシア軍のウクライナからの撤退を要求する。
　また原子力発電所の破壊は単なる発電機能の破壊にとどまらず、ひとを含め環境に甚大な被害を与える。爆撃に耐える原子力発電所などはありえず、一旦武力衝突に巻き込まれると破滅的な被害を生じる。原子力発電は運転それ自体からも最終処分の出来ない放射性廃棄物をも産み出しており、人類と共存できるものでは無く、全世界の発電所の廃炉を求める。

SHIN-IKYO Statement Against Russian Bombardment on Ukraine Nuclear Plants

SHIN-IKYO declared a statement against Russian military invasion of Ukraine on 3rd March. In the statement, we condemned Russian intimidation about possibility of using nuclear weapons.
But, Russia has rejected the U.N. general assembly resolution condemning its aggression, and moreover, has attacked by bombing and occupied Ukraine's nuclear power plants and even disconnected the Chernobyl plant power supply.
This reveals the dangers of nuclear power plants during the war, which had long been a concern.
Bombardment, artillery, and loss of core maintenance power are just a reenactment of the catastrophe at Chernobyl and TEPCO's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.
We will strongly protest the military actions that would induce a nuclear war. And demand the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.
Involving nuclear power plants into a war is not just a destruction of power generation functions, but also causes enormous damage to the environment, including humans.
There can be no nuclear power plant that can withstand the bombing, and once involved in an armed conflict, it causes catastrophic damage.
Destroying nuclear power plants should cause, not only, to stop electric power generation, but also enormous damage to environment and human lives. Besides, final products of nuclear power plants are contained dangerous substances, unable to process.
Now, SHIN-IKYO declare that nuclear power plants are basically hazardous, and there should be no possibility of coexistence between those and human living.
